I'm in the process of selling one of my hard drives on Ebay, and I'm prepping it by erasing any data by using Kill Disk but I'm running into a problem with a "Smart Status Bad Errors"

The Drive I'm selling is a Samsung Spintpoint 1tb Sata 2. And when I connected that drive to my system to prep it.

The Following message comes up on my Bios..... click here on further inspection the seller is helping me saying it's another drive that's causing the problem very strange - I'm using HDSentenel and CystalDiskInfo that seems to be ok or am I missing something?

Hope you can help.

Many Thanks Rob

Whichever drive is causing the problem, this alerts to the fact that the drive is dying and to ensure that you don't lose any data, make sure you have all you need backed and then replace the drive.

Sorry - didn't finish last post:

I would disconnect the faulty drive to ensure you have the correct one, and then proceed with preparing the SpinPoint for sale.

xania has helped. You click here indicates that ST3000DM001 has problems. That should be your 3Tb drive.
