I run a pentium 3 364mb ram windows me ie 6. Can any one think this cutting out slugishness rebooting by total suprise could be caused by an intermittent fault in the power supply? my existing power supply is rated at 235 watts and i have added a cd rewriter belkin usb card with 4 outs an additional photo printer, could this cause an overload, although they are not on at the same time. Advise please

Your suspicions ar very likely correct. A 235 wat power supply is very small indeed. You should look for a 300 - 350 wat power supply.
They are relatively inexpensive at around £25.
I had the very same problem myself untill I replaced my power supply. Even in the unlikely event that it isn't the power supply in your case, you are certainly going to have some problems if you add more hardware to your system in the future.
