HI All

I have purchased this wireless router from Misco as show here click here

However it states it can reach speeds of 54mbps but it always seems to run at 11mbps.

The signal strength is on average 60% - 65%.

I have the firewall to the highest settings and currently use the MAC filtering and WPA proctection. Just to add im using Windows XP pro and my USB adapter is fixed on to a USB extension pack which is not high speed

Is there any way I can increase the speed?

USB 1.1 ports have a 12mbps transfere rate therefore that will force your wireless adapter to use 802.11b format which runs at 11mbps rather than the faster 802.11g format which runs 54mbps. Use a USB2 port if you have one.

Also check that your adapter can use 802.11g and that the router is set to use that when it can.
