anyone have any ideas about this? few weeks back my internet browsing was so slow it was disconnecting, somedays its ok sometimes its unusable, download speed is unaffected,10mb connection 9700 down
Virgin media came and replaced my cable modem because thats what was causing the problem, and for 2weeks its all been fine, now im back to how it was,ive disconnected the router, swapped browsers, done a virus and spyware scan(nothing found) and still ive got this intermittent problem
Any advice gratefully received

Maybe you culd try cleaning up your PC and disabling unnecessary software and services. You could try running an online virus scanner like 'housecall trend micro' or 'kaspersky online scanner'. It sounds like it could be your computer rather than connection.

Otherwise maybe try a different browser, like firefox instead of internet explorer or vice versa. Do ou have problems with the speed of how anything else runs or just the browser?

slresdy done all that inc trying different browser tried, google chrome and firefox, used avg virus checker, super anti spyware and the trend online scan nothing found but tracker cookies, have used ccleaner to get rid of the crap and checked through msconfig

Problem is only with browsing, loading pages up can take upwards of 30 seconds yet when working properly its instant
