slave drive not recognised???

i have fitted an old slave drive to mt system so both are 60 gb and one is running xp, the other has been formatted and when the pc boots up recognises both drives (master and slave)however when i go into my computer it only shows one drive (c) i must be doing something wrong....anyone any ideas.....cheers

do both have the same file system? does your XP drive work on NTFS? what did you format your other drive to?

Go to start > Run > Copy and Paste:


Click "ok"

On the left click "Disc Management".

Do you see the drive? It will be shown next to "Disk 1".

sorry late in getting back but ive done what powerless suggested and it shows disk 1 as unallocated what do i have to do now....thannks
