Skype freezes PC (blank, blank)

I recently had to install Skype having been ordered to by MSN. However whenever I run it the Skype window is the only part that remains usable. Taking the cursor outside of this window I just get the spinning circle, and moving down to the Taskbar it changes back to an arrow but clicking on any icon or the Start button brings no response. As I say, Skype remains usable. I have un-installed and re-installed. (The only way out is Ctrl+Alt+Del then Log Off)

Thanks.

Cheers! That was the easiest fix ever.

Looks like there's a problem with 6.3:

Thanks.

That's odd - I've been using 6.3, now using 6.5 Beta and no problems so far - perhaps there are a few kinks that need ironing out. Never mind, as long you got it working.
