A simple motherboard swap out question

I have an LG775 socket motherboard (ASUS P5B SE PLUS) which I think has broken (no power at all - it could be PSU I suppose)

I am going down to my local PC World to buy another 775 socket motherboard (for £30) and attempt to install it.

My question is:
Can any LG775 socket motherboard replace the one Ive got or should I look for something more specific ?

As well as matching the socket for your CPU you will need to make sure that your RAM is also compatible socket length (should be pretty standard) but the speed and type DDR, DDR2 or DDR3 can be more specific. If the motherboard you choose is newish you should be pretty safe. Also a point to note is that motherboards come in different sizes and your case may not be able to accomodate certain ones.
