SilentDrive Acoustic Enclosure - Do they work?

Hi,

My HDDs make a LOT of noise and vibration, so I want to quieten them down.

Ive seen the "SilentDrive Acoustic Enclosure" on QuietPC.com which says that it will reduce the noise/vibration by 90%!

Has anyone actually got these items and do they work?

Also, is there a cheaper option (theyre £24.99 on QuietPC!) available at all?

Cheers,

Jordan

They might well do but bare in mind any enclosure like that will raise the temperature of the Hard Drive too.

Keep sound in, keeps heat in too!

Oh dear, is that bad?

It says that it has two "heat plates" that direct the heat away from the HDD, but my HDD does get pretty hot as it is so should I risk it?
