I have been a member here for quite some time and it has always baffled me (and recently annoyed me) as to why I have to sign in just to BROWSE the forums. All the other forums I am a member of let me view ALL the threads without having to sign in.

It really is a pain in the arse, every time I come here to have a look at what good advise is been given I have to sign in, it's a nightmare.

Can something be done about it?

What - one click on one button is a big deal?

  Alan2 00:20 19 Nov 03

I only have to click a button.

Alan2 I only have to click a button.

Oh dear, I think I have been missing something.

I put my e-mail address in to log in every time I come here.

What 'button' are you guys using?

  Alan2 00:30 19 Nov 03

I think you simply check a box for your email address and password to be remembered.

Then, thereafter, all you have to do is click the "Log In" box.

Place a tick in the "Remember my details" box, then each time you visit, you just click to log in. j.

  hugh-265156 00:41 19 Nov 03

yes that too.

  Djohn 00:45 19 Nov 03

lol ;o)

Why the log in if our details are remembered anyway? I too wondered why we have to click on the 'log in' and then wait (a whole 1 second!) to be redirected to the forum pages that we want in the first place. If it's to ' force us' to see the AD then I can understand that.
