si3114r5.sys keeps causing the Blue screen of deat

  Underdogs 09:40 13 Jan 07

My ASUS home made system using the AMD 3800+ 64 cpu, 2 6600GT graphic cards in Sli mode, 2 512 pc3200 DDR 400 cruitial memory chips and a 2 disk SATA 2 RAID 0 setup with Windows XP Home, fully up to date system. It keeps crashing to the Bule screen of death every 10 mins or so saying that 'si31145.sys' is the problem.
I think it's related to the RAID controller but I'm not sure of how to overcome this problem. I have tried to update the drivers for the SATA controller using the original disk in case the file had become corupted but no joy.
Heeeeeeeelp please..

Best regards

good grief i have no idea!?? have you tried taking out a hard drive and disabling raid?

why do you think its a raid error? (just for future referance)

I think it's a RAID driver as si3114r5.sys is on my RAID floppy install disk. I can not disable one disk as it has half of every file on it. If I un-install the raid controller then Windows won't start up to allow Windows to find and install the controller drivers. It's called catch 22.....!
