SHUTDOWN PROBLEMS

Hi,

About ten days ago i fitted a nVidia GeForce FX5600 graphics card into my Dell Dimension 4550 PC. Because the motherboard did not seem to have an additional powerpoint for the cards fan i used an adapter to allow me to use one of the spare hard drive power points. Ever since then though my PC seems reluctant to shut down, taking several minutes to do so. I even downloaded another shutdown programme, which seemed to resolve the problem for a day or so, but even that takes time now. I have scanned my PC for viruses, spyware, malware etc and it has come out clean so i'm fairly sure there is no outside influence. The only thing i can think of is the position of the fan adapter on the power supply cable, should it be above or below the point for the master hard drive?

Do you have the latest drivers for the graphics card click here for them

Hi MadBoy 33,
I was advised to download the latest drivers for the card from the ASUS site as these where better suited than the official nVidia drivers. I don't think that is the problem, but i am trying to keep an open mind.
