Shutdown problem - hanging iexplore.exe

My home computer, running XP home SP1, has developed a shutdown problem, saying it can't close because iexplore.exe is still running. This is despite the fact that I have closed down the Internet Explorer (version 6) window, and ended the dialup session. If I hit the end now button that appears, the computer will shut down ok, but I'm wondering what I can do to prevent having to do this manually every time?
Thanks,

Try deleting your Temporary Internet Files.

Go to Control Panel > Internet Options, select 'Delete Files' on the Temporary Internet Files section of the General tab.

Well, I did this, and the problem doesn't happen any more! Thanks!
