Shut down problems Win98

  daisy2bell 20:42 10 May 04

I'm running win 98 SE, and in the last few days am having shutdown problems. I go to shutdown and I always get the blue screen with the fatal error message.
Pressing any key results in the computer hanging and not shutting down. I have to manualy turn it off.
Ad aware and spybot are installed and up to date, Mcaffee firewall highest level and norton AV 2001 up to date.
Recently upgraded to AOL 9, upgraded media player. Otherwise nothing else was downloaded.
Any suggestions please.

Put your Win98 CD in the comp and Go to Start\Run and type SFC and run the program
