Shut down problem windows xp pro

Very frequently shut down is stopped by "program not responding" and it is always McciAsyncEventMgrWnd.

Grateful for a solution

“McciAsyncEventMgrWnd?”

This is a piece of software that you have running that is not releasing the memory when it closes.

To find what it is go to, start, control panel, administrative tools, event log and look for

that error as there should be more of an error message with the file name linked to the

software.
