Hello everyone. I am having a problem that whenever I shut-down my computer, or log-off, after a while the screen goes black with with the gg timer. You can move your mouse around, but it stays that way untill you turn it off at the mains. I am afraid this may be effecting my computer. It is as if it has frozen hal way through the shut-down process.

Can anybody help me with this?

Check that the sound file Windows plays when shutting down hasn't become corrupted - that can cause problems if it fails to run and the PC hangs.
