OS is windows 7 Desk top
Power settings are no display after 15 minutes.
Never put computer to sleep.
No screen saver used. Computer on plain background

What was|I doing at the time this happened?
Having my tea, not at the computer.

It sounds like it could be a overheating problem, take the left side panel of the Tower check the CPU FAN is working okay and the heatsink on it is not chocker with muck.

also go to control panel\power options turn off any power savers, check hard drive is set to never turn off
