Showing cell outlines in Excel 2003

A default 'new' worksheet shows all the cells with grey outlines. I've got a sheet with data in the cells but with a plain white background and no cell outlines..

I know how to put proper borders around cells, but this isn't what I mean... how do I turn on the 'normal' grey cell outline please?

Thanks

John

If I have understood the question correctly try this:-

Tools>options>view tab and ensure that there is a tick in gridlines (at least that's in Excel 2000!).

If you are meaning in the Print side of the spreadsheet, go to File/Page Setup/Sheet and select the 'Gridline' option. This will place the grid lines around the cells.
