I am using win XP Home edition. and whenever I drag a picture to the desktop it always puts the file extension after the file name... How do I stop the file extension from appearing? Just the filename is all I want to see!

I must be getting old as I cant remember how to do this in XP, I could in win Me years ago!

Over to you for the answer....or help!

In My Computer Tools> Folder Options, View tab, tick Hide extensions for known file types.
