I'm looking at getting a new PC and am torn between getting one with media centre or bog standard XP.

I currently have a fujitsu/siemens which has a 2.8Ghz and which was bought in 2002.

I now want to upgrade as i want to do video editing and this PC doesn't have a video capture card of DVD writer.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you only want to edit video then you only need a capture card, some software and XP Home/Pro.

However if you decide you want to to go the media route you had better read this first click here as it will give you a bit more information. You can also read about Xp either by seaching or using the link in the LH panel.

Can you wait for Vista?
