Is there any way to get rid of the arrow that appears at the bottom of the icon of shortcuts?

Get windows powertoys and use the TweakUI option

Or you can do it manually:

Open the Registry Editor by going to Start > Run, type regedit, click OK and Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile, rename the string "IsShortcut" to "IsShortcutold".
Do the same for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\piffile , exit the registry and re-boot.

DON?T FORGET TO BACKUP THE REGISTRY BEFORE EDITING.
