Shockwave Player okay to download?

  Sirpad 20:49 11 Nov 05

I was trying to play a game in Miniclip and got the following message:

Click here to install the following Active X control: ‘Shockwave Player 10.1’ from Macromedia, Inc.'

Will this interfere with MS ActiveX that's already on my PC? Is there anything to worry about if I install it?

No, it is absolutely fine, safe and no conflicts.

Thanks VoG™. Took your advice.

On that note.........I have a question about 'thanking' people for their help. I obviously want to say thanks but then this brings my post to the top of the queue and to me that's just clogging things up. I don't want my simple 'thank you' note to appear as a new reply to my post. Hope you get what I mean.

And whilst at the Macromedia website, download their Flash player as well.

It's fine to say thanks as long as you also tick it as resolved. Doesn't matter if it goes to the top again. At least we can see you have been helped....
