Sharing a single monitor between two PCs

I wish to share a single flat screen monitor between two PCs in order to save space. Can anyone tell me whether this is possible and what kit I would need to set it up? The OS on one PC is XP and the other, Win 98

if you use a KVM switch you will be able to use just the one keyboard and mouse as well, these things dont come cheap try

if your monitor has both DVI and DSUB connections and at least one of your computers has a graphics card with a DVI connection then just connect the two computers via the two connections, if this is the case it would also mean that it would be possible for you to have both computers on at the same time and just switch between inputs on the monitor.
