Sharing a scanner/printer

I have a Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 924 attached to one of the PC's on my network. I can share the printer with the other wireless PC's OK. My question is:-
Is it posssble to share the scanner function?

The scanner works OK on the attached PC but cant get it to function from the remote PC's. Thanks

Do you need to load the twain drivers on the other machine? I have a scsi epson gt7000 that shares ok but then it is a standalone device, have you emailed Dell support (if they have any) or can you identify the actual mfr of the printer (look at the driver properties to see who wrote them). I admit that I am clutching at straws really.

Sharing a scanner over a network is difficult (on Windows). The last time I looked, the only way I could find to do it was with Cuneiform Nest click here

It looks as it costs around $250, so it's not a cheap solution.
