Sharing Peripherals for Home Office

  willr 10:13 27 Feb 03

I have a Toshiba Portege Laptop for business use and a Dell Dimension PC for home/family use. I now work from home and need an easy, cost effective way to share peripherals/ADSL connection without individually tranferring cables for each device. I don't need to network the PC's, just share devices.
Many thanks

You say you don't need to network them, but this is the standard and simplest way to share printers and the ADSL line. You don't have to share files if you don't want to - in fact you can specifically exclude that.

I should have also pointed out that serial cables/USB/parallel cable sharing is in fact for files and not devices. The network is really the only way to go.
