Sharing Laptop screen with a desktop

I have just bought a new laptop. I am going to buy a KVM switch to share the keyboard and mouse with my old desktop (which I still want to use) However I really would like to dump the desktops monitor as it is to big. Is there anyway I can share my Laptop screen with the desktop???

Sound a strange thing to do but would solve my problem of space.

I believe the answer is no unless by some miracle your laptop has a VGA in connector. But I've never seen one that has.

thanks for the link.

I will give it a go as they will both be linked via a hub.

Ah Ha, didn't think of that, you could use Netmeeting, set up an application sharing meeting then you would have control of the desktop machine from the laptop without the need for switches at all.

Apparently netmeeting is now MSMmessenger.

I'll take your word for it, mine still says netmeeting at the top of the application window.

The naming is definately strange as to set it up in XP, you go to Start-Run and type conf?
