Sharing computer monitor

does anyone know of an easy method of sharing one monitor between two PC's?
One computer is running under Vista and the other under XP.
I am hoping that one can buy a switch that plugs into both computers and the monitor and is switchable between them.
Thank you very much for your help.

You need a KVM SWITCH,you use 2 pcs, 1 keybord, 1 mouse and 1 monitor, you press a button on the KVM switch to switch between the two, look on Ebay or Ebuyer,Aria etc,

I've got a monitor with both DVI and VGA inputs. I can connect one input to each computer, and use the monitor controls to switch between two systems.

If you have such a monitor, and the requisite graphics outputs on the PCs - it's a really easy way to do it.

I use it when working on clients systems, as it saves a lot of desk space.

I got one of these and very pleased with it. You can get a more expensive one that has plugs for sound.
