Sharing an AOL Internet connection Impossible?

  livewire 13:44 08 May 04

I have a successful Home Network between two Windows XP computers using an RJ45 cable. Almost every major ISP supports Internet sharing connections- but not AOL using my set up. As it seems AOL is restricing any kind of functionallity possible its no surprise AOL wont let users do this. After talks with AOL they say I have to purchase an expensive router regradless if my Set-up should work standalone.

Is there a way to do this with my set up?
What are your opinions in this?

If you download a proxy then it can be done. I use AnalogX. I cant remember where I got it from but if you type AnalogX into google I am sure it will take you to the site. (and its free).
