hello everyone i have two pc's networked and they happily share my epson printer, on good days when the network decides to function correctly, what i would like to do is share my epson 1200u scanner with the network how can i do this, one pc has win ME the other XP pro.

menorcarob2, not sure, but presumably you would have to install drivers and operating software on both machines. Then possibly you would be able to click on the properties of the scanner and select sharing. Not at all sure. Sorry not much help.

This is something that generally can't be done. There are network scanners you can buy for this purpose, and I think jazzypop did find a way of doing this. A search of this site may reveal something as it has been asked before.

Get a printer switch box if it's a parallel port scanner, and use it that way
