SFC shows many files replaced by older files

Running SFC to find corrupted files to solve another problem, I noticed that many of the current files were older than the ones they replaced. Should I replace the older files with the originals?

If so, anoyone know a quick way to do it?

You will find this happens with IE6 if you have upgraded from IE5 running 9X or ME, just fix what is broken...leave everything else.

You are better just restoring Corrupt files or some of the programs you loaded may not work

Thanks Spikeychris and Woodchip.

And if you've been installing new programmes this can happen. If anything needs changing back you'll soon know about it!

This problem can also arise from loading ancient programs from coverdisks - which is why I don't.

Thanks VoG. I don't put in many programmes from cover disks, but I did load Spybot recently and got the online update.
