Hi all,

OS win ME, friends computer in a bit of a mess.

could someone please give me the settings for server/incoming mail/outgoing mail for NTL dial up service.

she can only recieve email from ntl email address not hotmail one.

Friend has been in touch with NTL several times without success. The techincal help line adisors altered her 'lan settings' she thinks, put her on a 'proxy server' and finally told her its a problem with her own PC not NTL and thats its also a registery problem.

She can also NOT access the internet (tried google etc)....just gets 'cannot find server' message and also cannot access msn or hotmail.

she has virus checked, all is clear.

many thanks (once again) in advance,

Many thanks to you both.

I will see my friend tomorrow and pass on the settings you have provided.

Lozzy I've looked on the ntl homeworld site but could not find the telephone number for dial up. Any chance you could give directions?

Is it the one given on the page provided by Smiler?

Thanks once again for your help,

Mike
