You need a router, switch, wireless access point plus wireless cards for each of the PCs/notebooks.

An easy solution is an access point with router and firewall built in. I've just acquired a Belkin 54g (54g is based on the latest wireless standard 802.11g due to be formally introduced this June) Router/Firewall/Access Point which does the job. You just follow the directions on the installation CD and install your wireless cards and very soon you'll be surfing without wires.

Also, choose somewhere central in your house and preferably not right next to a window. It pays to set up the firewall software as anyone with the right capabilities could piggyback onto your bandwidth.
