Setting up a new web site

I`d like to set up a website for my family and friends to view/download photographs. What special software (preferably free) do I need and has someone the time to `hold my hand` in the initial set up stages. Any help greatly appreciated.

NVU is a popular free web creation program - click here

Take a look at the screenshots etc...

I have never used NVU but I have heard numerous people saying how good NVU is for creating basic sites.

Nvu (pron. N-view) is pretty good, but take the time to learn your way aroud it and all its functions before trying to progress too far with a design. Otherwise, you can get bogged down.

Thanks for that, I`ll have a look at it.
