Setting up my screen resolution

Hi,

Every time I satrt my computer , I have to setup the screen resolution this is how I do it:
1- Right click on desktop
2- Proberties-setting
3-Change the reslutions to 800X600
4-Apply-Ok

When I satrt my pc again the resolution changed.What I'm doing wrong?

no help i'm afraid but i've had this happen to me on more than one machine and just put it down to drivers so i'll keep an eye on this thread but i know it does irritate to have to change your settings after every boot.i've also had it where if i switch the monitor on before the pc then it's been ok whereas the other way around and the display settings need to be changed.

In settings/advanced/compatability put a dot in apply changes immediately.

Or maybe have a look in Device Manager.[right click my computer.properties.Hardware.Device manager.]Check that there are no yellow exclamation marks on Display adapters or any other drivers.

Thanks for thrying to help , but all above did not sort the problems. Any more ideas?
