Is this on the same pc?
If it is you should be able to access the internet straight away. Is your daughters user set up as administrator.
With the e-mail you have to set it up on the NTL Broadband home page click here under 'Your account>>e-mail options' add new e-mail.
When you have set up the new address you need to set-up Outlook express.
The settings you need are:
Customer email format: [email protected]
Outgoing Mail Server address smtp.ntlworld.com
Outgoing Mail Server type SMTP
Incoming Mail Server address pop.ntlworld.com
Incoming Mail Server type POP3
