setting up display screen

i have TFT sceen on the computer i use most and a 15" ctr monitor on our spare pc. with the TFT the display i find is not as comfortable to work on as the ctr. i can use the ctr for much longer without getting any eye strain but the TFT i find hurts to use for more tha 10 mins. is there something i can do to change this. a programe or something to set up my TFT.

On the TFT you should be able to change the settings to ease this. Anything at 75Hz or better is good. These are the setting you should have. Right click on the desktop and select properies, settings, advanced, then adapter to change it...

1280 x 1024 / 60, 75 Hz
1024 x 768 / 75 Hz
832 x 624 / 75 Hz
800 x 600 / 56, 60, 72, 75 Hz
720 x 400 / 70 Hz
640 x 480 / 60, 67, 72, 75 Hz
640 x 400 / 56 Hz

thx for taking the time to reply to my post, street. ive doanloaded new drivers and things seem to be a bit better but still not as god as the old ctr tho. oh well, will have to make do i guess.

Hi, I would suggest a screen filter which fits over the entire screen - available at any decent computer shop or on-line.
