setting up another computer

I am running a desktop pc with wireless o2 modem, vista home premium and hard wired printer. I am looking at getting another pc in my daughters room
so she can access the internet. Is it worth buying a whole new tower pc complete with monitor etc and just getting a network adaptor for the internet. Or just buy a monitor, mouse and keyboard and linking them wirelessly to the existing pc tower if that is possible. I am a complete novice so any advice would be appreciated

Your best buy would be a laptop.
