Service Pack Installation Problem

  Dannyb 18:06 28 Jun 09

For the past couple of weeks, every time I start my PC the following message shows; 'Installing Service Pack stage 3 of 3. Do not switch off your PC' The percentage installation doesn't move from 0% and then after a couple of minutes the PC just boots normally. This happens every time I start up. I cannot download Windows updates now as it tell me I am installing updates. How can I sort this out please. I have Vista installed.

You may be best doing this in safe mode

Thanks rawprawn, I tried that in safe mode but got the message: 'An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled.'
