Seriously slow speeds with BT Broadband

Please can anyone help, had broadband enabled on 15th October with BT total broadband on a 6mb to 8mb line. Since then the IP throughput speed has been between 0kbps and 7kbps. After about 20 calls to tech team in India and UK they finally agreed there is a fault but cannot do anything till after 10 days for the speed to stabilise.

Here is bt testspeed result

Ip profile for line is - 6500kbps
Dsl connection rate - 448 kbps(upstream) 7648 kbps (downstream)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was 0 kbps
Your service was found to be performing poorly. Please raise a fault with your service provider, stating that the bt performance tester tool indicates poor service throughput performance after the third test.
However BT will still do nothing till after first 10 days even after I told them to check bt testspeed log.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
