Serif/Abbyy/Microsoft Word

Hi everyone, I use Serif PP10 for timetables and reports etc, I then convert the Serif document into a PDF using Abbyy - then convert the PDF into Microsoft Word so that the office staff can edit it in the office [the office does not use Serif]

Everything works well until I try to add graphics - if I try to insert a graphic the Word document will not let me change any of the text in the document. There is an anchor beside the page in Word that is not there if there are no graphics.

I am sure it is something to do with the anchor but I can't work out how to remove the anchor to allow me to edit the text.

Can anyone please help.

This may depend on your version of Word. Try this:

Right click the picture > Format Picture, Layout tab, click 'in line with text', Advanced Button, Text Wrapping tab, click 'Top and Bottom' then on the Picture Position tab untick 'Lock Anchor'.

Followed your instructions - anchor still in place and access to edit still denied.

I'm using Office 2000 Professional
