SERIAL PORT DIRECT CABLE TRANSFER

Hi,
Can anyone help, I have connected 2 pcs together with a serial direct cable (1x winxp, 2 win982ed)
using this transfer set-up will it just copy(what I want to do) files/folders(docs) to new pc or will it move them completely over from old one to new one would like to have files/folders on both pcs.

never done it but i would think you get an option to do either.

Yes it will copy, I've done it in the dim and distant past - but - you need a program such as laplink, or maybe a shareware program like this click here - and it's verrryyy slooowwww.

It's quite cheap, and certainly faster, to get a USB data transfer cable.
