I have just joined orange broadband, since I have installed the internet i have lost the firewall sheild in the control panel. they say its not a problem with the installation. I've run windows defender, norton scan, and no bugs found.I have to right click the two internet icons and change firewall setting every time i connect to the internet, orange say the live box has firewall.
can this sheild be replaced?

The loss of the Security centre will not have any effect on firewall activity unless you are relying on the Windows ICF, which you should not be. So don't worry about it too much.

Start - Run type services.msc press ok.

scroll down to Securtiy centre and check if its started. if not right click it set startup type to Automatic and click on start.

It should now be back in control panel and start everytime you boot into windows.
