Send/receive problems in Outlook 2003

  Doc2 13:39 08 Nov 05

I use Outlook 2003 at work. Exchange Server is used for send/receive, and I have two personal POP3 accounts set up to receive personal mail. For reasons with which I won't bore you, firewalling (or somesuch) quite properly prevents the POP3 accounts from sending mail, and this is fine, but they receive mail without a problem. I received a message requesting a receipt on one of the POP3 accounts, and stupidly pressed "yes" on the option screen, which means that the POP3 account is now in an endless loop trying to send a receipt that it can never send. There is, of course, nothing in the outbox to delete, and although this is not the end of the world, it's annoying me! Changing server settings is not an option because of the vast nature of the organisation which provides me with my Exchange Server connection. Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance. Steve
