I have got a digital camera and download the phographs I take onto the program I use for my scanner. When I want to save a photo into MY PICTURES the program gives me several choices of type of document I want to save the photo as e.g. tiff of jpeg and so on.
What is the best type of document to save the photo as ? - jpeg seems to work okay

Hi Nobbler

Save them to jeg in save as type.

That way they are reduced for sending as e-mail, also in your image prog(I use Irfanview), you can downsize them further.

Jpg every time for e-mail transmission.

You may need to adjust the size/resolution of the image, also the compression, before sending.

Jpg is a "lossy" file, whereas a tiff is not. Saving your images as jpg`s result in a significantly smaller file size.

If you need more information, post again.
