Sending HD TV over Homeplugs?

Hi All,

I have changed the location of my TV and now I have a slight problem with the routing of all the wires and cables.

I have a system whereby I have a DreamBox set, Blu Ray DVD player and Xbox connected to a HDMI Switch box. The output from the switch box will be linked to an HDMI extender to CAT. The problem is how to take this network cable to the receiver on other side of the room.

One option I thought of is to run the network cable with electrical cables (240V AC power). However this means running the network cable for around 20m with electircal wires which I think will cause interference.

Another option is to use a good (500Mbps or more) homeplug to transfer this data. The transmitting and receiving adaptor will be on the same ring circuit with no RCD/fuse in between.

I think the second option is better (it certainly seems easier) but I have no idea if this will work. TV is Smart 3D 55 inch.

Any clues, ideas, suggestions.

Thanks
