Hi

I am considering selling my old laptop for spares (poss get £40 for it).

Is there a way to remove all data and safely sell it on?

Advice appreciated.

Thanks

Just remove the hard drive... If it's an old laptop, the hard drive capacity will likely be small, so not very saleable as a spare anyway.

hi, thanks, oh ok, so just unscrew the HD and destroy it...

or if you want to sell the drive use the drive wipe tool in CCleaner

or use the drive as spare storage by putting it in a usb caddy
