Wasn't sure which forum to put this on.
Dell Dimension XPS T600 600 Mhz PIII, 128 MB SDRAM, 20.4 GB HD, Windows 98, Floppy Drive, CD-RW/DVD drive, Ms Office 2000, 19" Trinitron CRT Monitor.
All in good order, haven't got a clue what it's worth, what would be a reasonable price to ask for this outfit?

You'll be lucky to get anything.

For some reason there's been a sudden spate of "how much is my xxxx worth?" Yawn. click here click here

There's a machine that was valued between £50 and £100.... yours is no where near as good, not even close.

Interestingly Jackcom's guess is £50 each for them both...

"Guess" being the operative word!! ;-))

but when I'm browsing Ebay, it is astonishing how much old laptops and pc's go for. Try and sell it on there to get the maximum for it.

I agree with selling on ebay, although easier for laptops due to shipping issues with desktops.

Earlier this year, on ebay, I sold a Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop (15", 6Gb, 256Mb, WinME, with Lan and Modem PCMCIA cards) for £60.

Apart from the problem of shipping (esp. the enormous CRT), key things that let your PC down (nothing personal) are the 128Mb and Win98. A purchaser would need to spend around £80 to £90 to upgrade the memory and install XP2 OEM. By the time they've done that and paid for your PC, they could have bought a better far spec'd machine in the first place - complete new PC's are available for £299 (0r less).

BTW, forgot to say that the Dell laptop was a PII-300

If you have a recycling company in your area that sells computer or a regular computer fair, then check their prices.
