Selctive start menu

on XP, the start menu seems to only show selctive items with a double downward chevron to reveal the full start menu.

Is there a way to disable this so it always shows the full list (like you can in office 2000 with the drop down menus).

Start - Settings - Taskbar & Start Menu - Start Menu tab - Customise - uncheck "Use Personalised Menus"

Answer me a question.

Is XP Home different to XP Pro?

I just tried to follow your directions for reddwarfcrew and I got lost after clicking the start button.

Don't get me wrong, I know where you are going, but when I open Start, there is no 'settings'.

For one thing, unlike reddwarfcrew, I have an arrow pointing to the right to get me to 'All Programs' and not the double downward chevrons.

This isn't a wind up I assure you. I've never seen the Home version and wondered if that was what reddwarfcrew was using.

Your using the XP styled start menu.

He is using the calssic start menu.

Start - Settings - Taskbar & Start Menu - Start Menu tab - Select classic and you'll see what it all means.
