seem to be connected to internet twice at sametime

just bought new pc last week with windows xp so signed up for broadband followed steps in booklet to install broadband and its going. Here comes the but On the task bar i have two tv screens one saying 1394 net adopter the other saying bt voyager 205asdl router both say connected and broadband seems to be always on.
how can you be connected to internet twice at same time.please help.

just ignore the 1394 it is not your broadband connection

1394 is firewire I think.

If you click on start, control panel, network connections, then richt click on 1394 connection and select properties, take the tick out of the 'shown icon in notification area when connected' box and click on ok.

The 1394 is your firewire card.

1394 is the Firewire protocol nothing to do with the internet
