Seeing a web site that is designed for wide-screen on a old "normal" screen

My bank web site is designed to view on a wide-screen display - it's perfectly OK on my modern laptop but not on my old 14" screen attached to my main computer. I use Firefox 38.0.1

Is there any setting I can change to make the web site viewable without lots of cursor left/right?

I know I can get a new screen but the wide ones annoy me and why should I discard a perfectly good screen?

Control and minus (-) will make a web page smaller, which may allow you to see all of it on your screen.
