security software - changing to broadband

I shall be changing from dial-up to broadband in the near future. If the broadband package includes its own security software, will there be any problems in keeping my existing security software ?

should not be as long as you use only one av and one firewall.

I changed over from dial up to broadband recently and was surprised at how quickly the " nasties " build up
despite having a bought security suite.
It seems that as fast as you turf them out they are back again fairly quickly so all you can do as far as I can see is run some sort of malware sweeper every half hour or so , thats what I do.
Apart from that I was amazed by broadband compared to dial up.
